Pilates is a system of movement and exercise designed to promote maximum muscle strength while increasing flexibility.

Developed in the 1920’s by Joseph H. Pilates, it works the body from the inside out by strengthening the core muscles that support the spine. Pilates uses the whole body to improve strength, connectedness, good posture and control. It increases flexibility, alignment, balance, and core strength. At Treadworks, we work with each individual at their own pace and level incorporating stability balls, exercise bands, Pilates apparatus, and Pilates mat work. Each workout is truly unique and enjoyable.
